Essential Skills

Journalists from around the country came to DC for a training hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. The training program was called “Essential Skills for Rising Newsroom Leaders.” About 30 years ago when I took the training, it was called Leadership for Middle Managers or something like that. I like the term “rising newsroom leaders” a lot more.
